EBS for Hospitality
Check-In Should Feel Like a Welcome. Not a Transaction.
A property runs on first impressions and clean folios — a card to hold the room, a hold for incidentals, charges along the stay, settled at checkout. We set up your payments around that rhythm, then show you, in writing, exactly what each stay costs you to take.

01 — How Hospitality Gets Paid
From Booking to Checkout, One Card Story.
A guest's money moves four or five times across a single stay. Your setup should follow the stay — not force the stay to follow the terminal.
01
Reservations & Deposits
Take a card to hold the room — online, or keyed in from a phone booking — and charge deposits up front, so a reservation is backed by money, not just a name. Keyed-in bookings cost more to process than a chip read at the desk; we show you that gap in writing instead of burying it.
02
Check-In Holds
Place a pre-authorization hold for incidentals at check-in, settle the real total at checkout, and release the rest. The guest sees one clean story on their statement.
03
Card on File for the Stay
The guest's card stays securely on file — restaurant charges, parking, minibar, a late checkout — added to the folio without a trip back to the desk for every charge.
04
Front Desk, Card-Present
Chip and tap at the desk for walk-ins, upgrades, and settling up in person — the fastest, cleanest-priced way a card can be taken.
05
Groups & Events
Weddings, reunions, team blocks, company retreats: bill the organizer by invoice or payment link, and settle guest rooms at the desk. One event, handled both ways.
06
No-Shows & Chargebacks
A no-show hurts twice — the empty room, then the dispute if the charge is challenged. A card on file, a stated cancellation policy, and a clean signed record are what let a no-show charge stand up. We set the flow up so the paperwork is already done.
02 — The Right Setup
Equipment That Fits the Property
We look at your property before we prescribe a single device — your desks, your arrival peaks, where your guests actually pay. Each spot gets the gear that fits it.
Front Desk — Purchase
Clover Station Solo / Duo
The command center where check-ins land: full front-desk power, with the Duo's guest-facing screen so the guest sees the total before they tap. Station systems are sold at outright store prices — they are not part of the $35 Placement Program, and we will tell you that up front.
Anywhere — $35 Placement
Clover Flex 4
A full POS that walks: check in a guest curbside, settle a tab poolside, close out an event without a line at the desk. Available through the $35 Equipment Placement Program.
Tight Desks — $35 Placement
Clover Compact
Counter power in a small footprint — for boutique desks, a second check-in point at peak arrival, and gift-shop counters where every inch is spoken for. Available through the $35 Equipment Placement Program.
Placement gear stays EBS property under the Merchant Equipment Agreement — or buy any device outright at store prices.
03 — What It Costs
One Processing Fee. In Writing.
Most properties learn their real rate from a statement autopsy. We publish ours before you sign: the card networks set interchange, we add 0.50%, and merchant services are $35 a month flat. The full math lives on our pricing page.
Processing
Interchange + 0.50%
Each card's true cost passes through, plus one published processing fee. No tiered mystery, no padded rates hiding in the fine print. Keyed-in phone and online reservations price higher than a chip read at the desk — that gap is set by the card networks, not by us, and your review shows it line by line.
Monthly
$35/mo Flat
Merchant services at one flat monthly fee — not $35 plus a page of line items you find later.
Equipment
$35 One-Time Placement
A one-time $35 shipping & handling fee places modern equipment through the Equipment Placement Program. No lease, no monthly rental.
